Access blocked sites using web proxies

Many of us are facing the problem of Internet Censorship in our schools, colleges, workplaces etc.

Well I see no point in doing so because someway or the other you can always access such banned sites.

Use a web proxy

The simplest of all is using the freely available web proxies. There are numerous such web proxies available on the net..

Web proxies can be used for the following tasks

Visiting blocked websites

All you have to do is visit the web proxy, type the name of the blocked site you want to visit in the box provided and bingo...bye bye internet censorship.

So next time you want to visit a blocked site…just visit a web proxy and browse the site from there..

Note: The web proxies you visit everyday may again be tracked by your network administrator and blocked. But don’t worry there are millions of web proxies available. I’ll try to keep this blog updated with new working proxies.

Using Instant Messengers

Not being able to log on to your IMs??…Don’t worry..switch to a web messenger.

Services such as Gtalk and Yahoo messenger have their own online versions. If your IM is blocked try using these online services. For Gtalk you can also use Gmail as a replacement (Gmail has Gtalk embedded in it)

Then there are always Web Sites such as www.meebo.com which you can use for multiple IM services.

Downloading Content

Here again proxy sites come to the rescue…Many of us know that proxy sites can be used to visit banned sites. But very few of us know that proxies can also be used for downloading blocked content. e.g. Suppose downloading of .exe files is banned in your network. You can still download by using proxies. All you have to do is copy the link of the file you want to download. Paste the link of the file in a web proxy and download whatever you want to download.
